8:56 am Chamber to host candidate forum
The Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a candidate forum for all contested municipal races on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
The event will be held at The Coffee Company in downtown Elizabethton at 5 p.m.
Candidates in City Council and School Board races have been invited to participate.
Upon arrival members of the audience will have the opportunity to prepare questions covering a variety of issues focusing on business and quality of life issues in the city.
The candidates will open with a brief two-minute statement followed by an answer of questions from those composed by the audience.
Each participating candidate will close out the evening with a brief statement.
