CCA crowns champs in softball, tee-ball

Championship Friday saw three teams walk away with gold after the dust settled at the Carter County American Little League complex.
Roan Highlands scored the nightcap win in the coach-pitch softball game with an 8-4 win against Stout’s Auto. In the tee-ball championship, Hunter Memorial grabbed the 10-4 decision against Smith Brothers. The youngsters for coach-pitch opened up the night in the 7-8 division, with Carter County Bank defeating the Nuggets 7-3.

Smith Bros. would strike first in the opening inning with a RBI hit from Abbie Johnson that resulted in Jocey Reece coming on home.
