Carter Christian to host Beth Moore study

9:10 am | September 7, 2012

Carter Christian Church will once again host a Beth Moore video Bible study.

Many women in the area are familiar with the dynamic Beth Moore and her lively, amusing and powerful personality.

Over the years, she’s produced at least 20 different and extremely popular studies. They’re presented in churches, community centers and private living rooms all over the world. Her simulcast programs draw tens of thousands to auditoriums year in and year out.

This fall the church will present “Stepping Up…a Journey through the Psalms of Ascent,” which examines Psalms 120-134 and how they model the ability to voice petitions and praises to God. Intimacy with God will grow from studying these 15 treasured Psalms while also exploring the major feast of Israel.

The seven-week course will run from Sept. 13 through Oct. 25. The classes are free.

Workbooks can be purchased online, at Lifeway Christian Bookstore or at the first class for $15. Refreshments will be served each week. Two identical but separate sessions are being offered on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon or 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Carter Christian Church is located at 1765 Highway 91 in the Stoney Creek community. To register or for more information, call Betty Holmes at 474-2360. Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.
