Bulldogs top generous Highlanders

The smell of juicy “steaks” being grilled from a neighboring house filled the air Monday afternoon in Hampton. Unfortunately, Cloudland filled the baseball diamond with a ton of “mistakes,” which led to an easy 11-1 Hampton victory.
The Highlanders made eight errors that led to seven unearned runs being scored by the ’Dogs. A half-dozen in the third inning put the game away.
“These kids have worked hard,” said Hampton head coach Matt Hardin about his squad. “We don’t any attitudes out here. They all love to play baseball.”
