Bright outlook for Buffs, Lady Buffs

The Milligan Baseball Team is finding things to be pretty easy so far, but the road is going to get a lot tougher in the very talented Appalachian Athletic Conference.

Having to take on teams like defending national champion Tennessee Wesleyan and recent NAIA World Series participant Union College (KY) is not easy, but the Buffaloes have a very solid squad during this year’s campaign.

The Buffaloes have swept weekend series with Johnson Bible College and Berea (KY), but the AAC season is looming and the stakes will be much higher for head coach Nathan Meade and his Buffaloes.

“It’s early for anybody,” Meade said at a recent Milligan promotional event at the Johnson City Mall. “I really like our kids and this team. We have a lot of talent. We have a lot of guys who know their role. It’s going to get tough, but I think we have a team that is going to handle it well.”
