Bluff City man receives eight charges after running from traffic stop

Police said the driver, Doug Edens, 47, was charged with driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, violation of the open container law, violation of the seat belt law, violation of the light law and evading arrest.

Edens was also charged with being a fugitive from justice based on a warrant out of Abingdon, Va., and violation of probation on a warrant in Carter County.
