It was a game with a lot of offensive firepower. When the smoke cleared, Milligan had the biggest gun on the floor.
Scott Blake keyed a high-scoring Appalachian Athletic Conference tilt with 19 points as Milligan held off Reinhardt (Ga.) 88-82 in Saturday’s men’s action at Steve Lacy Fieldhouse.
“They were giving it to me and getting me open,” said Blake, the junior from South Greene. “I was feeling it. You get in the gym and shoot a lot. I like seeing the results pay off.”
The Buffs, which shot 50 percent from the floor for the game, had four scorers in double figures — getting 15 points from Tyler DeVault and 11 from Corey Hendren and Cartree Pettis.
