JOHNSON CITY— East Tennessee State has a new women’s basketball coach, coaxing Brittney Ezell away from the same job at Belmont University.

ETSU has scheduled an introductory press conference Friday at noon in the Ward Room ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center to officially introduce Ezell.

Ezell, who played softball and basketball at the University of Alabama, has spent the last three seasons in Nashville guiding the Lady Bruins.

“We were looking for someone who had played at the highest levels, understood what it takes to win championships, and had extensive collegiate coaching experience,” ETSU interim Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Richard Sander said.
