Beef ‘O’ Brady’s pulled off an upset in extra innings, while David’s Trophies triumphed in impressive fashion in Monday night’s Carter County American League baseball action at Jim Ensor Field.
‘O’ Brady’s slipped past the Doe Valley Printing Dragons 4-3 with one out in the bottom of the seventh. David’s thumped Bad Boy Mowers 8-3 in the nightcap.

Blake King stole home for the game-winning run. He had walked before advancing to third base on Daniel Sheryl’s single.
King had attempted to make it all the way to the plate, before retreating to third. In a wild run-down, he was able to slide in safely.
David’s Trophies 8
Bad Boy Mowers 3
Adam White batted 2 for 3 with two RBIs to pace David’s, which led 8-0 in the third inning.
Southpaw Isaac Slagle tossed four innings for the winners, striking out 10 with four walks and a hit batter. He was charged with all three earned runs, and didn’t give up a hit until the fifth.
