NEWLAND, N.C. — One week after breaking into the win column, there weren’t many positives on the gridiron for Unaka.

Avery scored touchdowns on three fumbles and held the Rangers to 30 yards of total offense in a 51-0 non-conference win Friday at MacDonald Stadium.

“It is one of those things where I don’t know what to do,” said Unaka coach Steve McKinney. “They whipped us up front and we didn’t block them. We didn’t play with the same intensity we did last week, so it was one of those things.

“Avery came out and played well. My hat is off to them. They have some talented players and do some good things. We just couldn’t respond.”
