The Carter County Sheriff’s Department continues to search a for a man deputies say was involved in cooking methamphetamine and drove away from a burning mobile home last weekend.

Christopher Murden

Lt. Mike Little said investigators have a warrant for Christopher Murden’s arrest. The 36-year-old man faces methamphetamine manufacture charges.

According to an arrest warrant, on the morning of Oct. 28, police responded to a home at 111 Dan Cole Road, which was on fire. The house, belonging to Ricky and Penny Oliver, was a total loss.

Firefighters entering the home observed a bottle in the area where the fire had started. The bottle was spewing fire, the warrant states, and upon spraying it with more water, more fire would come out of it.
