Auction benefits Cattlemen’s Association

The Carter County Cattlemen’s Association will hold its 21st annual live and silent auction Friday, March 8, at Sinking Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and Gymnasium.

The auction, which begins at 6 p.m., will feature more than 300 items, including Dollywood and Myrtle Beach vacation packages, gift certificates to area restaurants, autographed sports memorabilia, farm supplies, baskets and wreaths, homemade furniture, cutting boards, oil changes and detailing work for trucks, tractors and cars, barge rentals, jewelry, coins, Bobcat excavator rentals, massages and pedicures, cowboy hats, 20 tons of rock, 10 yards of concrete and much more. The auction will also feature books and tapes by Baxter Black, an American cowboy, poet, philosopher, former large-animal veterinarian and radio and television commentator.

Proceeds from the auction will help with community projects undertaken by the CCCA.
