Wallaces to celebrate 50th anniversary

Brenda and Gary Wallace will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 22, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the W.D. Sykes Museum in Dover, Tenn., hosted by their children and family.

The couple was married July 20, 1962, by Rev. Billy Jackson at First Baptist Church, Dover, Tenn.

Dr. Wallace is retired from Milligan College as Professor Emeritus of Biology. He missed teaching the courses he loved and returned and continues to teach one semester each year.

Mrs. Wallace retired as Director of United Way of Elizabethton/ Carter County in 2006 after 21 years.

The couple has two children and three grandchildren. A daughter, Autumn Wallace Page, and husband, Tim, reside with their children, Emmaline and Brigham, in Dover, Tenn.

A son, Benjamin Wallace, and wife, Katie, reside with their daughter, Kayla, in Clarksville, Tenn.

All family and friends are welcome. They request no gifts, only your presence and good wishes.
