Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Peters celebrated 50th anniversary

Leonard and Jean Peters celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, June 29, 2012.

They were married June 29, 1962 at East Side Baptist Church by Rev. Brown Jarrett.

Leonard retired from the U.S. Postal Service and Jean retired from Elizabethton City Schools.

They are the parents of a son, Steve Peters, and wife, Terri, of Chicago, Ill.

They have three grandchildren, Trent, Tatum and Tanner, of Chicago.
