Aces pound Piney Bluff10:08 pm | June 22, 2013
If this was a poker tournament, the Elizabethton National Cal Ripken All-Stars would be holding a hand of four aces.
The 11-12 year-old All Star pre-tournament began on Saturday with a fundraising tournament in which the Aces pounded the Piney Bluff Stars 23-0 in game one of the round-robin tournament — which will conclude with three games today.
The Aces hammered four home runs — including two by left fielder Chris Taylor — and rapped out 12 hits against four Piney Bluff hurlers.
