776th guardsmen join ROTC Officers’ Training Corps at ETSU

Parker Moore, a member of the 776th Maintenance Co. of the Tennessee National Guard in Elizabethton, has joined the East Tennessee State University’s Army ROTC Officers’ Training Corps.

He will be commissioned as a U.S. Army second lieutenant upon graduation.

Moore is a sophomore majoring in international affairs. He is the son of Kevin and Susan Moore of Knoxville.

Moore joined the National Guard in the summer of 2011.

Also joining the ETSU ROTC with Moore was Jared Walls, a criminal justice major from Damascus, Va. A sophomore, Walls is a graduate of Holston High School and attended Virginia Highlands Community College before enlisting in the Army Reserves.
